Fall Festival of Arts & Crafts
The 12th Annual Chili Cook-Off will be held Friday, September 21st from 5 – 8 PM at the Main & Elm lot in historic downtown Washington, Missouri. Come down and buy a commemorative 2012 chili mug to taste over 30 different chili’s and see decorated booths and costumes, all following this year’s theme. Vote for your favorite team by putting money in their canister, all of which gets donated to the Franklin County United Way.
Then on Saturday, September 22, and Sunday, September 23, come enjoy the 17th Annual Fall Festival of the Arts & Crafts, and shop for beautifully handcrafted objects created by over 50 artisans. The festival is a great place to find unique gifts for yourself, or family and friends. Visitors will find a variety of one-of-a-kind, handcrafted items including ceramics, pottery, jewelry, clothing, paintings, wood furniture, and more. This family-oriented festival offers live music and a full food court.
To better celebrate Washington’s German heritage, Strassenfest features German decorations, microbrew beer, German-type food, German entertainment and a Strudel Bake-Off. Come down and celebrate your heritage!
