Public Mural Project

Are you an artist, designer, or creative spirit with a cool idea for a mural but not quite ready to paint it yourself? We’d love to hear from you!

Downtown Washington, Inc. is collecting ideas and inspiration for a new mural with the theme: “Welcome to WashMO.” This is a chance to help shape a public art piece that will greet locals and visitors alike at the heart of downtown Washington.

If you have a sketch, a design concept, or even just a creative thought about what the mural could look like, we invite you to send it in. Your idea might influence the final design, even if you don’t plan to do the painting yourself. Submit by August 1, 2025.
